RT @jennyrobertson4: @YoungAdvisors check out Sefton YAs at their launch event! Heard all about their exciting work! Proud DO @SeftonYAs ...

Want to develop your leadership skills and confidence? We are working with the North West Regional Youth Work Unit (NWRYWU) and Trafford Hall on a S.T.A.R. Residential training programme (Self, Team, Action, Reflection) which gives young people a sense of progression and direction to improving communities through the residential experience. STAR develops young people’s interpersonal skills such as confidence, self esteem and independence; before supporting them to begin work effectively as a team and take responsibility for planning effective local action in their communities.
This fully facilitated training course is for young people aged 14 - 19 and is open to groups of young people accompanied by their support worker. The residential is between Monday 24th October - Wed 26th October 2011 in Trafford Hall’s (Chester) fantastic residential accommodation.
This residential will enable delegates to:
• Develop leadership skills and confidence
• Develop trust and team working skills through challenging but fun activities
• Develop practical steps for making real change in their community
• Have the tools to measure the difference they make locally
All delegates will leave this residential with a group plan and the right skills to undertake some sort of local action in their community and following the residential they will also receive five AQA qualifications.
