Young Advisors win cash for shelter

Knowing where and if to set up a youth shelter is a tricky question. Will people use it? Is it safe? Fortunately, Tranmere and Rockferry Young Advisors did a lot of the hard work for the local Neighbourhood Management Team from consulting with young people to winning the cash to realise their project.

After their consultations, the team were successful in receiving over £13,000 of funding to improve facilities for young people aged 13-19 in our local park. Jenna Higginson said 'We worked with the local Neighborhood Management and Wirral Borough Council's HMRI and planning Teams to install a Youth Shelter and make other improvements to play areas.'

The shelter is located exactly where the young people wanted it to be, it's the right colour, with the right seating, and we know everyone will look after it!
