Today has been a very good day :-)

Since September Gayton Junior School have been working on an Olympic Science Project; this is all towards Rolls-â?Royce Science Prize proposal. As part of this, the school undertook a Sponsored Triathlon during Science Week. The school collectively covered 2012km by participating in cycling, running, swimming and rowing.
The school managed to raise over £500 that was donated to Sporting Futures to put on activities for young people in the community.
Fahd is a Young Advisor from Littleover who with the school will be designing a programme to be run in Littleover aimed at engage young people in a range of sporting activities.
Sports Development Officer Ben Rigby stated: 'The pupils from Gayton Junior School have done an excellent job, managing to raise so much money and should really be proud of themselves. They really enjoyed the taster sessions that we delivered during Science Week. The money will work as an inward investment being put back into the Littleover community. This is a really good example of local people raising funds so that local workers can put on a service for their local community and I would like to thank teacher Manny Sidhu, who led on fundraising and everyone who made a
