Following some training from the Young Advisors Charity, many Young Advisors are supporting their Local Authorities secure between £2 and £5 million of mYPlace funding. The fund, made available through the Department of Children, Schools and Families will help to build world class youth centres all over the country

Most Young Advisors have been commissioned to lead on the consultations and design workshops, one such example is our team in Knowsley.

Knowsley Young Advisors were commissioned to organise and lead the young people's consultation for mYPlace. In order to do this, the Young Advisors formed a Project Team and organised and led a consultation event, which was attended by 70 young people from a variety of youth groups throughout the borough. Following on from this the Young Advisors went out on location to summer youth activities to further engage the views of young people. The information gathered by the team has now been included in the bid, and everyone is hopeful that the aspirations of young people in the area will be realised through what will be a fantastic new building!
