Five minutes with...AJ

Alika 'AJ' Jeffs aka Infecta takes five minutes out of his jam packed schedule to reflect on his experiences working as a YA for Team Southwark. AJ has just signed a music deal with International Music Ltd. Watch this space..he could be our first celebrity Young Advisor!

How old are you and how long have you been a Young Advisor

I'm 20 and have been a YA for 3 years

What do you like most about your role?

What I like most about my role is the opportunities to meet influential people whilst representing youth

What things/projects have you been working on lately?

Last thing I worked on as a Young Advisor was the very successful, stressful SOLA 2011 which went well now just waiting on our review date

What do you think has been your projects biggest impact on your community?

Biggest impact on my community was when with the help of YA I pushed myself to be the best I can be and managed to get three magazine front covers in one summer and was role modelling my area and setting standards and examples that both adults and youth was aspiring too

Whats next for you and your YA team?

Next for my team and I, not too sure the skies the limit and nobody knows what tomorrow holds but if I had my way we would do our very own event and after that recruitment of new SYA's (Southwark Young Advisors)
